Heidi believes that a calmer mind can bring about a more peaceful life.
In a nonjudgmental, safe and supportive environment, Heidi helps move you from hurtful negative self talk, towards more positive thoughts allowing for movement towards your wanted goals.
Heidi’s therapeutic approach utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and brief solution focused therapy. With over 20 years of experience working with adults, Heidi’s career started as a counselor for a battered woman’s shelter where she learned about co-dependency, narcissism and relationship dependency. Heidi has also worked with both non-profit and for profit agencies, psychiatric hospitals and is currently working as a behavioral health consultant for the department of children and families.
Heidi is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor from Western Michigan University and has a Doctor of Philosophy from Warren National University in healthcare administration.
Heidi enjoys an occasional art project, watching the fall leaves change color, nature walks and spending time with family.
