Self destructive behaviors are any behaviors that negatively impact our mind or body by the life choices we make.  People knowingly do things that will cause them to fail, bring them trouble, or is against their best interest.  They may engage in troublesome behavior even though it consistently leads to a state of utter misery. This behavior may manifest itself in an active attempt to drive away other people.

The most obvious forms of self-destruction are eating disorders, alcohol abuse, drug addictions, self-injury and suicide attempts.  These could be a result of PTSD.
